Wow, 2007 is off to a great start! DegreedJobs is starting to really take off; we brought a new web developer on board and he is doing some amazing things; my New Year’s resolutions are starting to stick; and, the Chicago Bears are in the Super Bowl! What else could possibly make this year any better? (Well, the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XLI…but that is a different blog.)

As you may or may not have noticed, things are changing pretty fast here at DegreedJobs.com. First, the site design is drastically different. We have redoubled our commitment to making this job board easier than ever to use and find a great career. All the good stuff is in here including:

  • Interactive Search Bars
  • Job-Search Categories
  • Streamlined menu options
  • Upgraded styling to improve usability
  • But hey, I am just the schmo behind the keyboard. You are the important people actually using the board. So, here is your chance to sound off about the new changes, what you think, and how we can do better.

Don’t hold back, now. Let ‘er rip!!!!

DegreedJobs.com is dedicated to providing career seekers and prospective employers with the highest quality resources available for successful job placement. Today’ s cutting edge companies insist on the professional excellence that comes only from recognized industry credentials: experience, skill, and an accredited degree. In fact, 90% of posted openings require a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate. The remaining percentage of career paths require an Associate’s for positions in technical disciplines such as electronics, medical, electrical and chemical. Online search firms and local agencies produce volumes of resumes with all levels of education and experience. Our research indicated that there was a tremendous need for an organization to focus solely on candidates having obtained a post secondary education from an accredited institution. This pre-qualification system eliminates the lengthy and expensive method of reviewing unqualified applicants and streamlines the hiring process. The result is a win-win circumstance for both the candidate and the company. On DegreedJobs.com, employers will find only qualified personnel possessing academic credentials from accredited colleges, universities, and vocational schools. This website is a dedicated resource for employers who require a specific college degree coupled with career field knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Candidates will not find general job openings on DegreedJobs.com.  Employers posting on this website are in need of educated professionals encompassing the pinnacle of personal and professional standards of excellence.
